A population of 50,000 qualifies Strumica as the largest city in southeastern Macedonia. Over the course of a couple days, we got to know its two distinct sides: although it's comatose during the day, Strumica comes alive at night.

Sveti Spas – The Church of the Holy Savior

Found on a hill in Skopje's Old Bazaar near the Kale Fortress, is Sveti Spas, or the Church of the Holy Savior. It's a small structure whose modest exterior belies the incredible artwork hiding within.
